Each of the 17 individually decorated rooms and suites is named after a character associated with the village of Purton. For example, Anne Hyde, the mother of Queen Mary and Queen Anne, James Kibblewhite the runner, Nevil Maskelyne the Astronomer Royal and EH Budd the cricketer. All the rooms have private bathrooms with showers; many have spa baths. They also have direct dial telephones, satellite television with teletext, ducks, hairdryer, trouser press, safes, CD radio and free Wi-Fi, sherry, fresh fruit and home-made shortbread. Rates Prices per room for overnight accommodation, single or double occupancy and inclusive of newspaper, full English breakfast and VAT, are given below. Standard rooms - £110 Four-poster and Executive rooms - £140 Suites - £140 to £200 Some rooms are large enough to accommodate a Z bed or a cot for small children. For this there is a charge of £22.50 per child. Meals for children will be charged as taken. We are currently offering a special weekend rate of £151.50 per person sharing a Standard room. The price is for two nights and includes a four-course dinner each night, which effectively means you get one night at half price. Executive rooms with spa baths are £174 per person.
